About Resting Heart Rate
Your resting heart rate (RHR) is the number of times your heart beats per minute while at complete rest. A lower RHR generally indicates better cardiovascular fitness. The American Heart Association considers 60–100 bpm normal for adults, while trained athletes may have a RHR of 40–60 bpm.
